We fell in love with starburst design of the Chiasso Constellation wall mirror for $88. We decided to try our hand at an inspired piece with more organic materials. We decided to use bamboo grass reeds. Keep reading to see our other materials and see the gallery...

The bamboo grass reeds provided us with a similar architectural element to the metal rods used in the inspiration piece. And besides, we haven't yet learned to weld.

For this project you will need:

• 3 packs of bamboo grass reeds (ours came from the dollar store for a total of $3.)
• 2 5-inch styrafoam discs (we also purchased these at the dollar store packaged 2 for $1.)
• 1 6-inch mirror (ours is beveled and was purchased online for $5.)
• 1black marker
• scissors
• hot glue gun
• 1 sawtooth picture hanger
  

Although our mirror is less cluttered, we now find that we enjoy our lightly-limbed version to that of the original inspiration piece. Our project price is $10.
